Foundation in Oil
From
January 6th-27th, join artist Micah Goguen on
Tuesday afternoons as we learn aspects of painting in oil. There will be
more ongoing learning opportunities for those who want to
proceed after the workshop ends.
In this 4-week workshop, Goguen will:
- Cover the six stages of oil painting, including the underpainting process, using warm tones
- Lead you through two different confrontational pieces, starting with drawing the image and then using a subtraction method
- Cover color mixing by exploring color recipes to determine which colors to start a painting with.
