The Man with Violin
This mixed media piece uses various classic techniques to create a clear image. Hatching and cross-hatching can be seen within the man's clothes and surrounding his head to form shadows. Textural contrast between the mediums used is also evident through the use of sharp black lines along with loose clouds of watercolor.
