Four Seasons

Each of these four paintings contains a woman with different hairstyles, wearing different clothes, and holding different objects, each symbolic of one of the four seasons. Considering these differences, the actual faces of the women appear very similar if not the same. This may be an attempt to express the visual changes of the seasons while alluding to the constancy of nature.
