Enchanting Sitar Girl
The medium Marquetry Wood Art is a form of wood inlay where thin pieces
of veneer are assembled to create designs. This technique creates intricate
patterns and imagery on wooden surfaces, like a jigsaw puzzle made of
wood. The colors come from the different types of wood used in the piece. Sitar is an Indian musical instrument, primarily used during the Mughal period, from
the 15th to 18th centuries. It is believed to have evolved from earlier
lutes and possibly Persian stringed instruments like the sehtar.
