Soft textures are depicted throughout this piece with smooth brushstrokes used in the background as well as the intentional definition of the model's hair. Using slight indications of tight curls around the outside of the woman's hair while leaving the bulk of her hair appearing less defined, the artist forms multiple levels of texture within the piece.
